Mona Lisa over valued

The Mona Lisa was actually painted by Bert rather than Leonardo Da Vinci. Bert Da Vinci is not believed to have been related to Leonardo but confusion over their similar signatures led to misattribution.

If you look closely, said Prof Morinari del Funcdo, you can see two little hearts over the 'i's in Vinci. This is the biggest sign yet that we are dealing with a Bert Da Vinci.

The attribution will have a huge impact on the painting's insurance. The Mona Lisa is worth more than US$100million if it is by Leonardo Da Vinci. If it is by Bert Da Vinci it is worth $2.28.

Resorts send snow to skiers

Duck for president bid fails

Aesthetic jam threat

The European Union wants to redesignate certain British jam as paint after it was found to contain mostly colouring and paint. The Aesthetic Jam Co says the only way to get jam to tone perfectly with people's kitchen colour schemes is to add quantities of paint. People who demand beige jam to match their kitchen have to expect a little variation in the recipe, said Jim Spread of the Aesthetic Jam Co.
